ASES Ltd offers a full range of utility detection services using electromagnetic detection and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) methods, as well as also being able to offer specialist radar surveys.

Utility Mapping Surveys are carried out prior to ground investigation, boreholes, trial pits and other construction works, confirms the presence or absence of underground utilities before breaking ground or sub surface investigation.

Using a combination of non-invasive methods, including: ground penetrating radar, (GPR), electromagnetic and visual techniques, detect and map underground utilities before you dig, minimising risk of injury and costly damage to fibre optics.

The use of Radar helps us provide the most comprehensive survey, incorporating everything underground. With the increased presence of plastic and fibre optic underground services, and with many gas and water authorities replacing existing metal pipework with newer plastic infrastructure, there is an ever-growing need for radar.

We accurately identify and plot electricity, telecoms, cable TV, ductile iron water pipes and drainage pipes & gas services. Once the surface has been scanned and the services detected, we accurately survey these using traditional surveying methods or GPS.

Because the surface is immediately marked/sprayed with colours corresponding to the service, contractors have real time information on the buried services before finished plans are submitted.

If a Topographic plan in DWG already exists, we use these as the base of our survey, if not we can provide a package that includes the utility scan and Topographic Plan.
